Southern Newton Eruv
The northern border of the southern Newton eruv extension shares a common border with the Greater Boston Eruv along Route 9, extending from Elliot Street on the west to Dudley Street on the east. The Dudley Street border heads south as far as Brookline Street, where it heads south then west. It follows Brookline Street as far as Dedham Street for a short distance, and continues west along Nahanton Street. The Eruv turns north on Winchester Avenue continuing to Wallace Street, where it turns west again. It turns northwest onto Bernard Street and continues onto Christina Street. Here, it crosses Needham Street and runs into Newton Upper Falls along Oak Street as far as Elliot Street, where it turns east and then northeast and meets again with Route 9.
Individuals walking along the streets named above should be careful to walk on the side of the street and within the utility poles closest to the interior of the Eruv. If you have any questions about walking near any of the borders, please contact your local Rabbi or us.
